HM8118: LabView driver available? (ID #512)

HAMEG does not provide a LabView library for the LCR bridge HM8118.

The remote control commands of the manual are based on the SCPI standard. You can find the description of operating controls in the manual (page 41-43).

Due to the SCPI standard commands you can implement the instrument in any software application, which is able to send a "ASCII-String" to the communication Interface used (e.g. LabView, C++, Visual Basic etc.).

To test the connection between PC and the instrument with RS-232 interface you can use the Hyper-Terminal of Windows (accessory --> communication --> Hyper-Terminal). Please find attached a instruction about the settings of this program.
