HM8134-3 / HM8135: Retrofit or change of the interface (ID #521)

If you wish to change or retrofit the remote interface of the HM8134 and HM8135, please follow the manual of the interface for the installation and jumper settings.

In addition to these instructions, you need to program the HM8134/8135 in order to activate the new interface. Please send the following command over the extra built in RS-232 interface on the backside of the instrument:

To activate a USB (HO870/HO820), please send: 813xcom2default:1

To activate a IEEE/GPIB (HO880), please send: 813xcom2default:2

To activate a RS-232 (HO890), please send: 813xcom2default:3

In order to deactivate all second interfaces please send: 813xcom2default:0

You can use any terminal program to send the command, we suggest the Windows Hyper Terminal. A installation and user guide for the Windows Hyper Terminal can be downloaded from the HAMEG Website: www.hameg.com/hyperterminal .

Attention! Installation ex factory recommended, otherwise the warranty will expire.
