FechaDescripción
11.08.2009With HAMEG into the Universe

HAMEG starts together with the HeidelSat-Team into cosmic Spheres.

At the SRH University of applied science in Heidelberg professors, students and hobbyists together with kids from12 years onwards rack their brains over an own satellite. The HeidelSat team brings this satellite into universe in the year 2011, measuring cosmic showers with the goal to collect long term data for climate research.

Excitement already during 'box opening'

Well accompanied...

In July 2009 HAMEG Instruments, represented by sales director Thomas Modenbach, handed over a 3GHz spectrum analyzer HM5530 for the successful development of transmitter and receiver to assure a save communication between satellite and home base.

Never stop running...

Even the Experts: surprise, surprise...

The electronic team of the SRH will assemble a satellite which fits into the 'Cubesat' standard (10x10x10cm, max. 1kg) and applies radio amateur frequencies for communication purposes. HeidelSat will receive and measure cosmic showers.

The HeidelSat project also supports 'young academics'. Every Wednesday between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. the professors' team of SRH interests teens from 12 years onwards for this exciting field of research. A summer camp, organized for these 12 to 16 year old kids, shall lead them to the fascinating possibilities of this engineering science – because 'young blood' is always welcome. HAMEG is also interested in 'young academics' and highly appreciates the initiative of the SRH. For further information regarding the HeidelSat project and promotion of the young generation by the SRH supported by HAMEG Instruments browse: www.fh-heidelberg.de/satellit/Willkommen.html
