 Fascination & Motivation

 Technik die begeistert

Although the preparation was well-done, already during the first couple of games some surprises occurred: first the team was faced with defect accumulators, then a sensor breakdown happened – both were rapidly fixed using the HM2008 CombiScope® for detailed diagnostics. In the following three games, Numerobis showed it’s real strength resulting in the qualification of the finals, ranked as the 14th team.

 Test to be the Best

 Ready... steady.... GO!

Cards were reshuffled within the eighth final : opponent was the Italian UNICT team. The robot-club Aachen felt confident to win and step into the quarter final, because the night before they tested ‘Numerobis’ on the same tournament playground, considering strengths and weaknesses of the ‘ItaloRobot’.

 The Winner takes it all

 All´s well that ends well

Then the unexpected occured: ‘Numerobis’ didn’t start at all. The root cause is not even clear today, maybe a defect boot loader routine for the CAN device generated the pitfall.
Respect to the robot-club Aachen entering the finals of the Eurobot 2009. 'The journey is the reward' and same time it is the perspective for the Aachen robot creators for the new tournament 2010. Good luck and best wishes from HAMEG instruments!
