HZ540 / HZ550: Probe Power (ID #641) The probe power connector of HAMEG spectrum analyzers (2,5 mm jack) can be used as a supply (6 VDC) e.g. for HAMEG probes. The inner contact is +6V, the outer contact is connected to the instrument housing and thus with the measurement inputs’ ground potential and also protective earth (PE).
Like described in the resp. datasheet of the HZ540 / HZ550 probe set, the external power supply shall meet the following specification:
Power supply: 6V / 80mA.
Also HAMEG recommends the use of a linear power supply.
VOUT shall be 6V +/- 5% and the ripple < 5mV.
