HAMEG Instruments completes its spectrum analyzer series HMS offering an entry level model
With its HMS series HAMEG successfully introduced 4 compact TFT spectrum analyzers to the market, with and without tracking generator, with bandwidths of 1 and 3GHz. An instrument for less than 2,000€ now completes this series at the low end.
The new 1GHz HMS1000E (economy) is the successor to the HM5510. It is based on the platform of the well appreciated HMS series, hence it has a compact case, a 16.5cm large brilliant TFT screen, 3 USB ports for connecting USB sticks, printers and for remote control. In addition, such features as 8 markers, including delta and noise markers, diverse peak functions, simple operation and low menu depth were taken over from the HMS series. The HMS1000E is further equipped with auto, min, max, peak, sample, rms detectors and built-in AM and FM demodulators (internal loudspeaker and headset output). Compared to its predecessor HM5510, the resolution bandwidths were extended to 6 in total, RBW’s of 10KHz to 1MHz are available in 1 – 3 steps and in addition 200KHz. Not to forget the extended range of possible video bandwidths from 1KHz to 1MHz (as well in 1 – 3 steps) compared to the HM5510. The HMS1000E user can thus solve considerably more measuring tasks and faster, too.
The HMS1000E with its price tag of 1,950€ sets a new price - performance standard in the entry level class. It is available since 1th of November 2011.
